We live in a world where nothing is sacred. Where Hollywood takes all of our childhood favorites and evaporates them into bland, boring, versions of themselves. For years we've demanded more for our beloved characters. If you're going to remake our classics, then at least do something unique and different!

On Wednesday morning we sure as hell got something unique and different from the Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey trailer. And for the first time in a while, we're excited for a movie that reimagines an icon.

Directed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield, the film sees Pooh and Piglet on a violent murderous rampage. Why, you ask? Well, because they are pissed off that their old pal Christopher Robin abandoned them.

The recent entrance of A.A. Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh (1926) into the public domain allows the original characters (not the Disney version) to be used without copyright infringement. Waterfield sought to capitalize on this and shot the film in a mere ten days using Immortal Masks to bring the characters to life.

No release date is set at the moment, but we'll be the first in line to see this movie and we'll keep our fingers crossed that it is a 5 out of 5 Perfect Turd!
